Pakistan air chief trains troops on counter insurgency

The Pakistani Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sohail Aman has urged the Nigeria military to adopt the 3Ds: Deterrence, Dialogue and Development in its bid to stamp out insurgency from the country.
Delivering a lecture tagged, "Pakistan Air Force Role in the War on Terror" at the National Defence College, Aman observed that terrorism requires a better understanding of airpower to counter it.
The lecture was aimed at equipping the Nigerian military with knowledge on counter terrorism which will assist the college to build its base on the effective use of airpower to enhance counter insurgency operations in the country.
In his closing remarks, the Commandant National Defence College, Rear Admiral S.I. Alade thanked the Pakistani government for its frantic efforts to help rid the nation of terrorism, adding that its contribution has helped in degrading the capacity of Boko Haram to operate in Nigeria.
