Osun Assembly probes N34.5b bailout from FG


The Osun State House of Assembly has commenced the probe of the deployment of the N34.5 billion bailout received by the state government from the federal government as palliative.
Daily Trust gathered that the legislature summoned some government officials in the state to appear before the House today, December 7, for the probe.
Those summoned included the Accountant-General, Permanent Secretaries Ministry of Finance, Office of Budget Planning and Director-General of Debt Management Office. 
The House also summoned officials of Wema Bank, Zenith Bank and First Bank to appear before it.
Others summoned are Osun State chairmen of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), Joint Negotiation Council (JNC) and the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE). The House also summoned the heads of Market Women Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
